Can a heavy chandelier go where my old light is?
Sometimes. Many older boxes were made for light fixtures only. We check the box and how it is fastened, and if it is not rated for the weight we tell you before anything goes up.
Can you hang a light on a sloped ceiling?
Yes, if the fixture is made for it or has a sloped-ceiling adapter. Many pendants and fans list the maximum slope they can handle. Send us the ceiling slope or a photo from the side.
Why does my outdoor light leave a gap on the stucco?
Stucco is uneven, so a fixture base rarely sits flat. We seal around the top and sides and leave a small gap at the bottom so any water that gets in can drain.
Can you add a light where there is no wiring?
A new light location starts with an electrician, who runs the wiring and sets a box. Once that is in, we can hang the fixture and patch the ceiling around it.
Can you take my old fixture down in one piece so I can sell or return it?
Yes. Tell us before we start, and we'll take it down carefully, cap the wires, and keep the glass, hardware and canopy together.
What if there's a problem behind the old fixture?
We stop and tell you what we found before doing anything beyond what we agreed on. If it's wiring inside the ceiling, an electrician can take it from there, and we can hang the new fixture once it's sorted.
