Recessed lighting retrofits in Monterey Park
Old can lights with yellowed trim and hot, dim bulbs can be brought up to date without opening the ceiling. I fit LED retrofit kits into your existing cans, fix trim rings that gap, and sort out flicker from the wrong dimmer.

What I fix
- LED retrofit kits fitted into existing cans
- New trim where the old trim has yellowed or gapped
- Matching the color temperature across a room
- Swapping old dimmers for LED-rated ones
- Fixing flicker and bulbs that burn out quickly
Problems I see most
- Dim, yellow light from old incandescent or halogen bulbs.
- Gaps around trim rings after the ceiling settles.
- Flicker from a dimmer that wasn't made for LEDs.

Recessed lighting questions
Something else? Call or text and ask.
Do I need new cans for LED?
Usually not. A retrofit kit screws into the existing socket, clips into the can, and covers the old trim.
What color temperature should I pick?
2700K to 3000K feels warm and suits living rooms and bedrooms. 3500K to 4000K is brighter and good for kitchens and work areas. Keep one color per room.
Why do my LED cans flicker?
Most often it's the dimmer. Older dimmers weren't made for LED loads, and an LED-rated dimmer usually fixes it.
Will LED retrofits lower my bill?
Yes. An LED kit uses a fraction of the power of an incandescent or halogen bulb and lasts many years longer.
