Ceiling fan installation in Monterey Park

I install new ceiling fans and fix the ones that wobble, hum, or quit spinning. A new fan goes up on a fan-rated box, balanced and tested on every speed, with the light kit working. Send a photo of the room and the fan, and I'll give you a price.

What I fix

  • Replacing an old fan or a light fixture with a new ceiling fan
  • Checking the box is fan-rated, and swapping it if it isn't
  • Balancing wobbly blades and tightening the mount
  • Replacing pull chains, capacitors, and light kits
  • Setting up remotes and wall controls

Problems I see most

  • Wobble from unbalanced blades or a loose hanger bracket.
  • Humming or rattling from worn bearings or loose parts.
  • A light kit that stopped working while the fan still spins.

Something else going on? Text me a photo and I'll take a look.

Ceiling fans questions

Something else? Call or text and ask.

Why does my ceiling fan wobble?

Usually the blades are out of balance or the mount has loosened. Tightening every screw and balancing the blades fixes most of them. A bent blade or a box that isn't fan-rated takes a bit more.

Can a fan go where a light is now?

Often, yes. The box has to be rated to hold a fan. If it isn't, I swap it for one that is before the fan goes up.

What size fan do I need?

About 42 to 48 inches for a bedroom, and 52 inches or more for a living room. On an 8-foot ceiling, a low-profile hugger fan keeps the blades at a comfortable height.

Which way should my fan spin?

Counterclockwise in summer to push air down, and clockwise on low in winter to move warm air off the ceiling. Most fans have a direction switch on the housing.
