What I fix

  • Wall-mount and post-mount mailboxes
  • Resetting a leaning post in concrete
  • Replacing a rusted or broken box
  • House numbers on stucco, wood, or a post
  • Locking mailboxes

Problems I see most

  • Posts leaning after the soil settled or a car clipped them.
  • Faded or small numbers that drivers can't read at night.
  • Rusted boxes with doors that won't close.

Something else going on? Text me a photo and I'll take a look.

How a visit works

  1. Call or text a photo. Tell me what's wrong and your ZIP code.
  2. You get a price first. Most mailboxes and house numbers jobs I can price from a photo. If I need to see it, I'll say so.
  3. The visit. Time on site: 1–3 hours (posts need concrete to set). Visits: one, sometimes two for concrete. confirm
  4. Parts and cleanup. If parts are needed, you approve the cost before I buy them, and I clean up the work area. confirm

What to have ready

  • The mailbox and numbers, if you bought them
  • Photos of where they go
  • For posts: whether there are sprinklers or utility lines nearby (call 811 before digging)

Mailboxes and house numbers questions

Something else? Call or text and ask.

How big should house numbers be?

At least 4 inches tall and in a color that contrasts with the wall. Many cities ask for more. Check yours.

Can you fix a leaning mailbox post?

Usually by resetting it in fresh concrete. A rotted wood post gets replaced.

Do you install locking mailboxes?

Yes, wall-mount or post-mount, as long as it meets the post office rules for your area.

Do I need to call 811?

Before digging a new post hole, yes. It's free and marks buried lines.
